After spending way too much time contemplating what dramatic change to have done on my hair, along came our new found love affair with Salon XVI who fulfilled the very desire.
I’ve posted about it, asked you guys and after much thought – shaved the other side and chopped half the length one week, then went the ombre black to violet/grape/purple on Friday. All in the creative hands of Salon XVI’s owner, Ben Martin – whom I gave pretty much complete creative control over. Thanks Ben. Not to mention his other creative associate, Samuel Krutop for fixing up the boy’s hair and getting rid of that grown out mohawk. Thanks Sam.
When you step inside the salon, you feel right at home. With its slightly masculine feel and old world charm, from the decor to the service, you know you’re in for a really great salon experience. Specializing in women’s and men’s cuts and colours, as well as bridal and editorial, with Ben’s partner in crime Shella as its star make-up artist, these guys know what’s going on.
Really couldn’t recommend Salon XVI enough – and if you’re the type to hesitate about trying a different salon (like myself) from nasty past experiences, these guys will restore your faith and have you coming back. Work so good I keep harassing them to cut more and do whatever to my hair. Even considering a platinum flat top. That’s how much I trust them.
