I have a lotta love for California. The satellite cities and resemblance to Melbourne with its laid-back nature. We spent most time in West Hollywood, making day trips to Beverly Hills. There is an abundance of things to do and places to visit, if time permitted we would have conquered them all. Next time. When we move here ;)

Rodeo Drive is a shopper’s (and tourist’s) delight. The streets are beautiful, reminiscent of Des Tuileries where we stayed in Paris. Beverly Hills is a very materialistic and star-studded place. It’s all about the the labels, the cars and the stars, and really is inspiring – as is the whole of Cali. We bumped into Amanda Seyfried and Tabatha Coffey like it ain’t no thang. Street style shots to come. Meanwhile here’s some Rodeo Drive snaps from the iPhone and 5D.

  • fine day in el-lay

Happy Friday! Missing LA like crazy already – here’s a few more shots to show you why.

Sunday morning Jesse and I ran up Runyon Canyon with Jess and Bassy, I was cussin’ and heatin’ up under a scorching hot sun, perhaps the least thing I wanted to do first thing on a Sunday morning. But the view was well worth it, with an amazing view of LA.

We had lunch at Cheebo’s, a popular Mexican joint among the locals and Amanda Seyfried’s (who was at the next table). The rest of the afternoon was spent at Venice Beach, touring the basketball courts made famous by White Men Can’t Jump, being approached by ‘physicians’ and strolling down Abbot Kinney. Certainly a colourful place with lots of interesting characters, would love to visit during summer where the place is at its peak.

So those who have yet to check out LA, make sure you tick these things off your list.
